Because there are too few visible minorities in the philosophical world, but especially because of the recent political events and the rise of the black lives matter movement, it seemed to me more than necessary to devote a T-shirt to Angela Davis, this great lady of the anti-racist movement. If wearing a philosophical T-shirt means to provoke reactions and discussions, it is clear that discussion is not enough to bring an important social change and put an end to racism. This is the reason why I decided to help Hoodstock by giving this organization all the profits from the sale of this T-shirt. This organization works in "Montreal-Nord", a neighborhood where the black community is particularly affected by systemic racism. It aims to develop a better balance and a greater sharing of powers, a greater economic and social justice, a more united and cooperative community, a greater equality of opportunity for young people, but also to amplify the different forms of creative expression and to fight on the issues linked to racism.
